Rising girlband unperfect are back with their new feel-good single, ‘I’m A Dreamer’.
The empowering anthem is a vibrant and confident offering from the girlband which encourages listeners to dream big beyond their wildest imagination. Not only will this track inspire you, but thanks to its infectious energy, it’s the perfect bop for the coming summer months.
Speaking about the track, unperfect stated: “The lyrics of the song came from our experiences of sometimes second-guessing ourselves, or having other people second-guess us. We are only human, it’s natural to worry that things might not work our or feel deflated when other people don’t have the same vision we do. But the overall message of the song is about being confident enough to push through it and keep believing in ourselves.”

The single campaign is in collaboration with Robinson’s Fruit Shoot, unperfect’s debut brand partnership. A match made in heaven, both parties share the same ethos when it comes to championing the future generation and encouraging them to step out of their comfort zones and to fulfil their every dream. The single marks the launch of Fruit Shoot’s new on-pack promotion which gives children the chance to win their dream version of their favourite interest or hobby.
Speaking about the collaboration, unperfect said: “We love the message behind the Fruit Shoot campaign – it’s a brand that we all loved as kids. We want to inspire kids to go after their dreams, whatever those dreams might be, work hard to overcome any obstacles, and believe that they can achieve great things. All four of us can identify with kids in their bedrooms, singing into a hairbrush and dreaming of becoming a pop star, so we wanted to show them – if you can dream it, you can do it.”
‘I’m A Dreamer’ follows on from unperfect’s debut EP ‘Yeah, Why Not’, which was released earlier this year. Their debut single, ‘Gots To Give The Girl’, was applauded by Sir Elton John on his Beats 1 show, describing it as “one of the coolest tracks I’ve heard in a long time.”
The girlband, made up of Clo, Siobhan, Soipan, and Tiah, are under the wing of iconic pop production house Xenomania, who were responsible for all 21 of Girls Aloud’s consecutive top 10 hits including ‘Sound of the Underground’ and ‘The Promise’, in addition to Cher’s ‘Believe’ and Sugababes’ ‘Round Round’.
unperfect are a breath of fresh air in the industry, and with the backing of some of music’s biggest tastemakers, there’s no doubt that the four-piece are ones to watch over the coming months.
