Iga Swiatek is the current women's world No.1, but her style isn't universally popular, especially not amongst certain male players who have now retired.
Many have complimented Swiatek on her style of play, and her ability to win matches, however some believe her appearance and style haven't done the game any favors.
One such individual is Jimmy Arias, who works as an analyst for ESPN, and the former men's world No.5 doesn't feel she has been good for women's tennis.
"From my standpoint, I don't think she's been great for women's tennis," Arias detailed on the Inside In podcast.
"Because she wears her hat so low that you can't even see her face or her eyes during a match, so you don't get a connection as much as you could.
"I don't mind her getting angry in some ways, but I want to see her personality."
Arias has angered other tennis professionals
It seems as though Arias wants to play up to a role of controversial tennis analyst, moving on from his attack on Iga Swiatek.
He took aim at tennis' perennial easy-target, Nick Krygios, criticizing the Australian's break from the sport, which was partly down to a physical injury.
Arias suggested that Krygios 'doesn't do all the things that are actually difficult and make it hard' as was reported by Tennis World.
This brought an angry response from the not-so shy-and-retiring Australian, who defended his corner staunchly.
"You got some sort of issue?" Krygios tweeted to Arias.
"Although I had no idea who you were before my mate messaged me 10 mins ago, I'd appreciate if you kept my name out of your mouth to keep you relevant... well at least to give you some form of credibility."
