According to several reliable sources, Steve did not have any scientific degree in zoology whatsoever; he lived his life caring and probably studying animals at his parents’ small wildlife park which has now extended to be called Australia Zoo.

He loved crocodiles. At first, his first attempt was, he learnt how to catch and hold them from his father. Once during his birthday, he was gifted with a live python as a birthday gift.

Steve Irwin was shooting his film off the coast of Port Douglas on 4th September, 2006. He was stung by a stingray while snorkelling. The stinging of the stingray pierced in his chest by its barb. it touched his heart. Sadly, Steve Irwin died of cardiac arrest shortly after the incident.

They spent their honeymoon picturing and filming crocodiles. Along with their marriage, they were blessed with 2 children, a daughter called Bindi Irwin and a son whose name was Robert Irwin.

Terri Raines and her husband’s footage of filming crocodiles and other breeds of animals became part of their Australian television show The Crocodile Hunter in the year 1992.

After about 4 years, The Crocodile Hunter was picked for airing by one of America’s top wildlife television stations ‘Animal Planet’. After some time, the television show was aired in over 200 countries.

Many people were so worried and wondering yet entertained about Steve Irwin’s encounter with such dangerous and sometimes poisonous animals on the show.
